Trusting God When You Feel a Season Is Changing
Hope everyone is doing well this morning.
If you have to go to work today, I pray in the name of Jesus for your safety on these icy roads.
Today is Monday, January 26th, and I am excited about this new week. I don’t know exactly why. It’s just a feeling that something is about to change for me.
A Quiet Sense That Something Is Changing
I didn’t feel this change during my Monday business meeting with the Lord. It wasn’t until I started writing this post. I can’t explain it. Maybe it’s a message from the Holy Spirit.
I am choosing to trust the leading of the Lord, because His ways are better than my ways.
“With all your heart rely on Him… and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6 (AMPC)
With that being said, I can’t wait to see what’s about to change.
Am I getting a paid client?
Is something I’ve been studying finally being understood?
Is God leading me in a new direction?
All of these questions are crossing my mind.
What is the Lord changing in your life lately?
Learning to Listen for God’s Voice
Sometimes God doesn’t tell us everything at once. Most of the time, He speaks in that still, small voice we sometimes hear.
I used to have trouble hearing the voice of the Lord because I was too occupied trying to do things my own way instead of including Him.
Now I’m learning to listen.
I’ve been praying that if I don’t hear Him the first time because my mind is so busy, that He would speak to me through my dreams or interrupt my thoughts with a gentle feeling. And He is.
I’m just waiting for His instructions — what to do next, how to do it, and when.
“Your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it.”
— Isaiah 30:21 (AMPC)
As I’ve been studying, writing, learning, and trusting Him day by day, there were moments when I wondered if any of it was making a difference.
But maybe this feeling is God reminding me:
“Stay faithful. You’re closer than you think.”
And maybe you’ve been feeling it too.
Trusting God With What’s Next
That sense that something is changing in your life.
In your heart.
In your direction.
Even if you can’t explain it yet.
If so, I want to encourage you today:
God is working — even when we can’t see it.
He is ordering your steps.
He is preparing what’s next.
Let’s keep trusting Him together.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for guiding our steps, even when we cannot see the full path ahead. Thank You for speaking to us in quiet moments and reminding us that You are always near.
Help us to listen with open hearts, to trust You completely, and to walk in obedience to Your will. When our minds feel busy or unsure, give us Your peace and clarity.
Order our steps, strengthen our faith, and prepare us for what You have planned.
We place this week in Your hands and trust You with what’s next.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
